Psychology of Health and Illness (CLP 4314)

This course provides an overview of the field of health psychology and behavioral medicine with an emphasis on psychological, social, cultural, and global factors affecting health and health care/policy. My final project in this course was a presentation on the psychology of terminal illness.


Global Psychology (SOP 4731)

This course is an examination of cultural contexts informing human behavior and psychological well internationally. In this course we examined psychology research through direct application to global phenomena.


Intercultural Communication (COM 3461)

In this course we developed skill to build and maintain relationship across cultures by focusing on similarities and differences in communication behaviors, perceptions, language usage, and social practices.


Myth, Ritual, and Mysticism (ANT 3241) This course examined anthropological approaches to the study of myth, ritual, and mysticism, as religious and symbolic systems. In this course we learned about and compared the social and psychological functions of myth and ritual in small-scale and complex societies.
